The Quran Forbids Islam

This bugs me. Isn't it pretty much the mark of a moral person that when they have power over someone, they might not take advantage of it? Maybe show mercy? At least let their enemies surrender, not keep kicking the shit out of them? Not in the koran, baby.
[47:35] Be not fainthearted then; and invite not the infidels to peace when ye have the upper hand:
What kind of fucked-up advice is that, don't let them make peace?  This is morality according to Mohammed: When the enemy has the upper hand it's ok to surrender to save your own ass. When the shoe's on the other foot though, when you're winning, don't offer any truce or ceasefire, don't let your enemies submit.

If you believe Mohammed said this, you cannot say he was any kind of moral person. But hold on; this isn't supposed to be Mohammed talking. Muslims believe this book is the literal words of God. I think it's safe to say that God has the upper hand. And in that situation, He says here that he's not ok with letting people submit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "Islam mean Submission"? Here's Allah himself, in his own words, saying that he won't accept your submission. God himself is against 'Islam'. You submitting is exactly what he says he's against.

If the Quran is the word of God, then Islam is against God.
